The Moulding Foundation funds a weekend of adventure at Bendrigg Trust

The Joshua Tree Launches New Support Vehicle to Reach More Families Affected by Childhood Cancers

“We had an epic time and are still processing the experiences and moments from the weekend.”

This summer, The Moulding Foundation was proud to support Peeps-HIE with a donation that enabled 10 registered H.I.E families to enjoy a transformative weekend at Bendrigg Trust — a fully accessible activity centre dedicated to inclusion, adventure, and community.

Over the course of the weekend, families took part in a wide range of activities including indoor caving, sensory play, rock climbing, canoeing, zip lining, the tube slide, archery, arts and crafts, and abseiling. For many of the children, this was a rare opportunity to access inclusive, fully supported adventure — and for their families, a chance to connect, relax, and build lasting bonds.

The impact was deeply felt. One parent shared, “Thank you so much again for supporting our trip to Bendrigg. One piece of feedback that we consistently hear with H.I.E families is that it’s so important for them to know that they’re not alone, as H.I.E is still so unknown. Events and weekends like these where families can come together are priceless.”

We’re honoured to have played a part in making this experience possible. Peeps-HIE’s commitment to supporting families affected by Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy (H.I.E) aligns closely with our own values — fostering inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and community connection.
