The Moulding Foundation supports Martin House Children's Hospital as they transform the teenage wing at Whitby Lodge

Helping transform the teenager wing at Martin House Hospice

We’re proud to support Martin House Children's Hospice as they transform the teenage wing at Whitby Lodge - ensuring it meets the evolving medical needs of children and young people in paediatric palliative care. Martin House is a charity that provides hospice care for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire. It provides family-led care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, either at the hospice or in families' own homes.

As part of the rebuild, every teenager will have a private ensuite with an integrated, multi-directional hoisting system, designed to allow easy movement anywhere in the room with just one transfer. Our donation covers the cost of installing a hoist in one of these newly refurbished bedrooms.

This state-of-the-art system helps create a homely, non-clinical environment at the hospice - giving young people who’ve spent much of their lives in hospital the opportunity to experience greater privacy, dignity, and independence.
